Supporting Casey Radio
A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will boost community broadcasting for our Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs.
We’ll provide a $50,000 grant to Casey Radio – known to listeners as 3SER 97.7, the sound of the South East – to help them continue to deliver local news to the local community.
The funding will help the volunteer media organisation continue providing the best local news, sport and music for Casey, Dandenong, Frankston, Kingston and Bayside.
This investment supports the diverse programming that Casey Radio showcases to its audience.
Casey Radio has always placed an emphasis on delivering programming in a range of languages that truly reflect the communities in the Cranbourne electorate - including the Afghan and South Sudanese communities.
Labor has aways supported strong and diverse voices in the media as a foundation of democracy. Only Labor will continue to back 3SER 97.7 – supporting our south-eastern communities and the broadcasters – because only Labor will do what matters.
