A Stronger City in the Community
A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will support City in the Community (CITC) to keep forging closer links between the Melbourne City Football Club and our local community.
We’ll provide a $50,000 grant to help them continue to run a range of programs, geared at improving the health, wellbeing and connection with our community.
Over the years, CITC has supported hundreds of young local football players and fans to inspire, educate and create opportunities across the community.
Local sport is the lifeblood of Cranbourne, bringing communities and families together.
That’s why the Labor Government is backing organisations like CITC to help our local sports stars reach their potential on the field, while also giving back to the community.
We’ve invested more than $1.6 billion to upgrade and improve recreation reserves and sports grounds, delivering better playing surfaces, new scoreboards, lighting upgrades and changing facilities for clubs in every corner of the state – while at the same time, supporting local jobs.
Only a re-elected Labor Government will back the community organisations that keep our community strong – because only Labor will do what matters.
