Better Care for Vulnerable Victorians
A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will back AGAPI Care to keep supporting people with disability in Victoria, ensuring their needs are met through a range of specialised care initiatives.
We’ll provide a $50,000 grant to support AGAPI continue to deliver a range of programs and services that support some of the most vulnerable Victorians, providing them with the accommodation, care, skills and community they need to thrive.
Established in 1987 by a group of Greek-Australian parents and specialising in the needs of migrants, AGAPI has continued to grow – supporting thousands of Victorians and providing broad support for disabled people and the communities they call home.
Funding from a Labor Government will make sure they are well-equipped to continue to help local families and members of our community – ensuring every Victorian gets the support they need when they need it.
It builds on the massive investments in community support already delivered by the Labor Government, ensuring neighbourhoods have accessible wellbeing and support services close to home.
In sharp contrast, when it comes to delivering the vital support that people in our community rely on, Matthew Guy’s Liberals can’t be trusted. Their policy of cuts and closures would leave locals behind.
Only Labor will back the community organisations that keep our community strong – because only Labor will do what matters.
