Helping Locals Get Back On Their Feet

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will back Reservoir Neighbourhood House to keep giving Preston locals the help they need, when they need it.

We’ll provide a $200,000 grant to help them keep supporting Victorians experiencing hardship and disadvantage, including a community pantry that lets locals access free non-perishable foods, free community lunches and support for emergency relief and family issues.

For years, the Reservoir Neighbourhood House has supported thousands of vulnerable Victorians, providing the essential support and services locals need to help them get back on their feet.

Funding from a Labor Government will make sure they are well-equipped to keep helping local families and members of our community.

It builds on the massive investments in community support already delivered by the Labor Government, ensuring neighbourhoods have accessible wellbeing and support services close to home.

In sharp contrast, Matthew Guy’s Liberals can’t be trusted when it comes to delivering the vital support that people in our community rely on. Their policy of cuts and closures would leave locals behind.

Only Labor will back the local organisations that keep our community strong – because only Labor will keep doing what matters.

Quotes attributable to Labor Candidate for Preston Nathan Lambert

“Everyone in Preston knows what a massive contribution Reservoir Neighbourhood House makes to improving local lives, that’s why we’re ensuring they have what they need to keep supporting people in our area.”
