Upgraded Dog Park for Flemington

Dog lovers in Flemington will have more space to enjoy the outdoors with their pets, with an upgraded dog park under a re-elected Andrews Labor Government.

We’ll invest $400,000 towards providing a space for local families and their four-legged friends to play in, with the location of the dog park to be decided in consultation with the local community.

Victorians love their pets, and we know dogs need green open space for exercise and play.

That’s why a re-elected Labor Government will invest $13.4 million to create six new dog parks and upgrade 22 existing dog parks. 

We’ve already funded 31 new dog parks across Victoria – ensuring every family has access to fantastic outdoor spaces.

We’ve delivered off-leash parks with fencing, seating, drinking fountains and agility equipment for dog lovers and their pets to enjoy their time outdoors.

And we’ve created more parkland across our state so that more families can relax and enjoy the outdoors together.

Labor understands that pets are more than just animals – they’re family. That’s why we stood up for animal welfare by banning puppy farms and introducing the strictest breeding rules in the country.

The Labor Government gave renters the right to keep a pet with landmark rental reform laws, and only Labor will make sure dog owners have somewhere they can exercise their pets safely.
