Supporting Turning Point in Richmond

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will provide Turning Point with a $40,000 grant to continue to support people across Richmond and the broader Victorian community.

Originally founded in Collingwood and now based in Richmond, Turning Point is an addiction research and education centre that provides treatment for people adversely affected by alcohol, drugs and gambling.

By delivering workforce and community education programs and increasing access to early support and treatments for Victorians with addiction, Turning Point provides better outcomes for those in need and the whole community.

We’ll make sure Turning Point are well-equipped to help those with addiction in the community ensuring more Victorians get the help and support they need.

This funding builds on $21.5 million the Labor Government has already invested to establish the Specialist Statewide Service to ensure people with co-occurring mental illness and substance use issues get the care they need earlier and closer to home, being led and coordinated by Turning Point.

The Labor Government has always delivered on what matters for local communities, ensuring neighbourhoods have accessible wellbeing and support services close to home, and local community organisations have the support they need.

Labor is doing what matters – backing the important community organisations that help us all.
