Supporting Kiewa Catchment Landcare Groups

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will back Kiewa Catchment Landcare Groups to keep protecting and preserving our local environment.

We’ll provide a $50,000 grant to help them work with the local community to improve the long-term sustainability of farming and the environment in North East Victoria.

The Kiewa Catchment Landcare Groups is a not-for-profit environmental organisation that works with the local community, helps to preserve, protect and enhance the environment of the Kiewa River catchment. 

Only a Labor Government will protect our environment – our long term plan, Protecting Victoria’s Environment Biodiversity 2037, is being delivered with record funding of more than $560 million.

Labor is investing more to protect our precious plants and animals than any government in Victoria’s history.

In sharp contrast, when it comes to delivering the vital support people in our community rely on, Matthew Guy’s Liberals will leave locals behind with their policy of cuts and closures. They just can’t be trusted to back our environment or the community groups that protect it.
