More support for families on the Mornington Peninsula

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will back Southern Peninsula Community Support to make sure local families experiencing financial or personal hardship can access the help they need.

We’ll provide a $50,000 grant to help this important organisation to continue providing crisis support, food services and a range of financial counselling, advice and referrals services.

Each year, Southern Peninsula Community Support help people experiencing homelessness, financial and personal hardship, ensuring they have the tools and advice they need to get back on their feet.

Labor’s investment will make sure they are well-equipped to continue to help local families – so every Victorian gets the support they need when they need it.

It builds on the massive investments in community support the Labor Government has already delivered, ensuring neighbourhoods have accessible wellbeing and support services close to home.

In sharp contrast, Matthew Guy’s Liberals can’t be trusted when it comes to delivering the vital support that people in our community rely on, Instead, their policy of cuts and closures would leave locals behind.

Only Labor will back the community organisations that keep our community strong – because only Labor will do what matters.
