DELIVERING NEW COMMUNITY AND BOWLING FACILITIES FOR BACCHUS MARSH
A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will deliver a much-needed community centre for Bacchus Marsh, ensuring the town and surrounding communities have access to a modern public space where locals can meet.
We’ll invest $2.9 million towards the Bacchus Marsh Community Centre – which will see Bacchus Marsh Bowling Club and Avenue Bowling Club facilities merged and a new modern purpose-built community facility built in the heart of a major new sports and recreation precinct.
The relocation of the bowls club will open-up prime commercial and civic space in the main centre of Bacchus Marsh, which will be available to Moorabool Shire Council for further development. And it’ll mean a fantastic new space for locals to connect and enjoy.
Labor’s investment will ensure Bacchus Marsh has the services and infrastructure it needs to cater for it growing population.
Since coming to government, we’ve invested in new and upgraded parks, libraries, community halls and hubs across our regions.
These investments mean that thousands of Victorians are more connected to their community, better placed to reach out if they need help and supported by a network of volunteers, staff and local residents.
In sharp contrast, when it comes to delivering the support that people in our community rely on, Matthew Guy’s Liberals can’t be trusted. Instead, their policy of cuts and closures leaves locals behind.
Only Labor will back the community organisations that keep our community strong – because only Labor will do what matters.
