Bright Lights for Coatesville Bowling Club
A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will support one of Victoria’s most beloved bowls clubs, with new funding to support a lighting upgrade.
Labor will invest $25,000 to help buy new lights – enabling the popular Coatesville Bowling Club to bowl at any hour of the day.
Coatesville Bowling Club has fantastic views of the park next door and gorgeous sunsets that bring an inspiring end to a day of lawn bowls.
With the new lights, bowlers will be able to continue playing into the night – boosting the time spent exercising and socialising at the Club.
That’s why the Labor Government is backing our sports clubs, families and communities by delivering better sports grounds and facilities.
We’ve invested more than $1.6 billion to upgrade and improve recreation reserves and sports grounds, delivering better playing surfaces, new scoreboards, lighting upgrades and changing facilities for clubs in every corner of the state – while at the same time, supporting local jobs.
In sharp contrast, when it comes to delivering the vital support that people in our community rely on, Matthew Guy’s Liberals can’t be trusted. Their policy of cuts and closures would leave locals behind.
Only a re-elected Labor Government will back the local sports clubs in our community – because only Labor will do what matters.
