A Stronger Water Well Project in Malvern

A re-elected Labor Government will support the Water Well Project to keep improving the health and wellbeing of communities from migrant, refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds.

We’ll provide a $60,000 grant to help them continue supporting communities from migrant, refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds, understand and access health care.

Since 2011, the Water Well Project has supported hundreds of families from migrant, refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds, enriching our community.

This funding from a Labor Government will make sure they are well-equipped to continue to help local families and members of our community – ensuring every Victorian gets the support they need when they need it.

It builds on the massive investments in community support already delivered by the Labor Government, ensuring neighbourhoods have accessible wellbeing and support services close to home.

In sharp contrast, when it comes to delivering the vital support that people in our community rely on, Matthew Guy’s Liberals can’t be trusted. Their policy of cuts and closures would leave locals behind.

Only Labor will back the community organisations that keep our community strong – because only Labor will do what matters.

Quote attributable to Labor Candidate for Malvern Darren Natale

“The Water Well Project started as a small service but it’s one with a big heart – giving everything they have to support our communities from migrant, refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds. It’s why Labor will make sure they have what they need to keep supporting local residents.”
