A Stronger Albury Wodonga Volunteer Resource Bureau
A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will support the Albury Wodonga Volunteer Resource Bureau to keep doing their much needed and incredible work for the community.
We’ll provide a $50,000 grant to help them to increase and foster volunteering within the local community and regional Victoria.
For years, the Albury Wodonga Volunteer Resource Bureau has supported thousands of community members, linking volunteers with not-for-profit organisations, adult education, assisting newly arrived refugees and humanitarian entrants.
Only a Labor Government acknowledges the importance of volunteering. We’re laying the groundwork to promote, build and support all forms of volunteering through our Victorian Volunteer Strategy – a five-year action plan.
It builds on the massive investments in community support the Labor Government has already delivered ensuring every Victorian has access to the support they need when they need it.
In sharp contrast, when it comes to delivering the vital support that people in our community rely on, Matthew Guy’s Liberals can’t be trusted. Their policy of cuts and closures would leave locals behind.
Only Labor will back the community organisations that keep our community strong – because only Labor will do what matters.
