Delivering Safer Intersections for Carrum

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will kick-off planning for a safer intersection at Station Street and McLeod Road for all road users in Carrum.

Labor will invest $750,000 towards planning for an upgrade to improve safety at the intersection of Station Street and McLeod Road in Carrum.

Since coming to government, we’ve improved congestion by upgrading roads across Carrum – removing three level crossings and delivering a $36.5 million upgrade to Ballarto Road, including the Lyrebird Drive intersection.

Victorians know how important it is to have safe and reliable roads. That’s why Labor has invested $35 billion since 2014 to expand our road network and deliver important upgrades, making roads across the state safer for every Victorian.

Better yet – these investments have created thousands of Victorian jobs, backing workers and strengthening our economy.

When it comes to creating jobs and building much-needed infrastructure, Matthew Guy’s Liberals can’t be trusted. They’ve already promised to “audit” much-needed local investments – Liberal code for cuts and closures.

When Matthew Guy was last in power, the Liberals cut maintenance funding for roads by $100 million across the state.

Labor is doing what matters – delivering road safety upgrades for communities in every corner of our state. Only a re-elected Labor Government will keep building to get Victorians home sooner and safer.
