World class aquatic centre for families on the Bellarine
Families on the Bellarine will enjoy a world class aquatic centre under a re-elected Andrews Labor Government.
Swimming and water sports are a way of life in Australia - a re-elected Andrews Labor Government will invest up to $20 million towards the North Bellarine Aquatic and Leisure Centre, delivering new facilities that the whole community can be proud of.
Aquatic and leisure centres are a central point for families to come together and swim and train under one roof, as well as providing vital swim lessons for young children.
That’s why Labor is backing local families, swimming clubs and athletes to deliver better swim and play facilities.
We have invested more than $1.6 billion to upgrade and improve local recreation reserves and sports grounds – making them better for local families.
We’ve delivered better courts and grounds, new scoreboards, lighting upgrades and changing facilities for clubs in every corner of the state.
Only Labor will deliver the North Bellarine Aquatic and Leisure Centre to its full potential in Drysdale, looking after the needs of Bellarine Peninsula families.
