SUPPORTING VITAL COMMUNITY SERVICES FOR MARYBOROUGH

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will support the Maryborough Community House – making sure locals continue to have a place to meet with other community members and access important information and programs.

We’ll provide a $100,000 grant to make sure they are well-equipped to continue helping local families and members of our community – so every Victorian gets the support they need when they need it.

Maryborough Community House offering volunteering opportunities, community lunches, venue hire and hosts many groups and activities that are valued and loved by locals.

Importantly, it’s an investment that will help bring families and community members together – ensuring every Victorian feels a sense of belonging in their local neighbourhood.

It builds on the massive investments in community support the Labor Government has already delivered, ensuring neighbourhoods have accessible wellbeing and support services close to home.

In sharp contrast, Matthew Guy’s Liberals can’t be trusted when it comes to delivering the vital support that people in our community rely on. Instead, their policy of cuts and closures would leave locals behind.

Only Labor will back the community organisations that keep our community strong – because only Labor will do what matters.

Quotes attributable to Labor Candidate for Ripon Martha Haylett

“Staff and volunteers at Maryborough Community House work hard to help their community and that’s why we’re making sure they have what they need to keep doing what they do.”

“We’re backing Maryborough Community House because we know how important it is for the local community with many locals relying on it for social groups and important information.”
