Supporting Leongatha Community House
A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will support the Leongatha Community House to continue meeting the changing social and educational needs of the whole community.
We’ll provide a $50,000 grant to help them continue to run different activities and programs that suit the goals and interest of communities.
For years the Leongatha Community House has supported hundreds of locals, delivering a wide-range of services to the community.
Funding from a Labor Government will make sure they are well-equipped to continue to help local families and members of our community – ensuring every Victorian gets the support they need when they need it.
It builds on the massive investments in community support already delivered by Labor, ensuring neighbourhoods have accessible wellbeing and support services close to home.
In sharp contrast, when it comes to delivering the vital support that people in our community rely on, Matthew Guy’s Liberals can’t be trusted. Their policy of cuts and closures would leave locals behind.
Only Labor will back the community organisations that keep our community strong – because only Labor will do what matters.
Quote attributable to Labor Candidate for Gippsland South Denise Ryan
“Everyone in Leongatha knows and loves the Leongatha Community House, they have been serving our community for years. We’re proud to give back to those who have given so much to us.”
