New CFA Stations for Raywood
A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will deliver a new Country Fire Authority (CFA) station for locals in Raywood.
Our hardworking CFA volunteers put their lives on the line to protect our community.
That’s why Labor will invest $1.2 million to rebuild the Raywood station on its current site, making sure our volunteer firefighters have the tools and equipment they need to safely respond to emergencies.
This investment will boost the resources of the local CFA in Raywood and will deliver a new, modern station so volunteer firefighters have the facilities they need to keep our community safe.
Today’s funding builds on the more than 50 new and upgraded fire stations we’re delivering across the state, in addition to making sure our fire services have the facilities and equipment they need.
Labor’s recent support for the CFA across the state’s regions includes a nearly $139 million investment to replace radios, $19 million to clean up the Fiskville training site and establish a redress scheme and $10 million for driver training and fleet upgrades.
In contrast, you can’t trust Matthew Guy’s Liberals with our fire services. When they were in government, they cut $66 million from the CFA and MFB, making it harder for firefighters to keep our communities safe.
Only a re-elected Andrews Labor Government will build and upgrade the facilities our firefighters need to protect their communities – because only Labor will do what matters.
