Compassionate Care in Mornington
A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will support Peninsula Home Hospice to continue delivering compassionate end-of-life care when local families need it most.
We’ll provide a $30,000 grant, helping the hospice continue providing specialist palliative care in the home for patients, families and carers along the Peninsula.
The Peninsula Home Hospice team of professional workers and volunteers give people the choice of being cared for in the comfort of their home, prioritising their dignity and peace.
Funding from a Labor Government will support the service to continue to help local patients and their families during their most difficult time – ensuring every Victorian gets the support they need, when and where they need it.
It builds on the massive investments in community support and health already delivered by the Labor Government for Peninsula locals – ranging from the huge redevelopment of the Frankston hospital to support for Brotherhood of St Laurence to provide vital carer respite services.
In sharp contrast, when it comes to delivering the vital support that people in our community rely on, Matthew Guy’s Liberals can’t be trusted. When they were last in government, they cut $1 billion from our health services – and if given the change they will do nothing but cut and close again.
Only Labor will back the organisations that keep our community strong and supported when they most need it – because only Labor will do what matters.
