Backing Anglesea's Strong Community Spirit

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will support Anglesea Community House to keep delivering the essential programs, activities and events that support locals and encourage strong community spirit.

We’ll provide a $60,000 grant to help Anglesea Community House continue to create a more connected, inclusive and caring community, through a range of services that span emergency food relief to farmers markets and innovative solutions to local waste management.

For years the Anglesea Community House has been a much-loved community asset, supporting thousands of locals to feel a stronger connection to their community, whilst assisting the most vulnerable among them to get back on their feet.

This important investment will make sure they are well-equipped to continue to help local families and members of our community – ensuring every Victorian gets the support they need when they need it.

It builds on the massive investments in community support already delivered by Labor, ensuring neighbourhoods have accessible wellbeing and support services close to home.

In sharp contrast, Matthew Guy’s Liberals will leave locals behind with their policy of cuts and closures. They just can’t be trusted to back local support services.

Only Labor will back the community organisations that keep our community strong – because only Labor will do what matters.
