A Stronger Eastern Volunteers to Support Community Organisations

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will ensure Eastern Volunteers are able to continue to support their local community.

Eastern Volunteers provide community transport services and support volunteering in a range of areas including aged care, the environment, sporting and community organisations.

Many of these projects and programs are designed to help people living in lower socio-economic areas, people in aged care, people with a disability and new migrants.

If re-elected, Labor will provide a $60,000 grant to enable them to continue to deliver valuable services and programs to the community.

It’ll mean more locals will be better supported by the organisation’s dedicated and hardworking volunteers, who deliver vital services for our community.

We’ll make sure they are well-equipped to help local families and members of the community ensuring every Victorian gets the help and support they need, when they need – and closer to home.

The Labor Government has always delivered on what matters for local communities, ensuring neighbourhoods have accessible wellbeing and support services close to home.

Labor is doing what matters – backing the important community organisations that help us all.
