A New Marine Search and Rescue Vessel for Queenscliff

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will deliver a new vessel for Queenscliff’s Marine Search and Rescue Unit.

Our local Queenscliff Marine Search and Rescue (MSAR) volunteers are at the forefront of keeping boating, fishing and watersport loving Victorians safe on Port Phillip Bay and at the heads to Bass Strait. That’s why we need to make sure they have the very best equipment and facilities.

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will invest $2.214 million to provide a new marine search and rescue vessel, helping the volunteers at Queenscliff MSAR to protect the community.

Labor is doing what matters – supporting our emergency services volunteers with the tools, equipment, facilities and vehicles they need.

Matthew Guy’s Liberals can’t be trusted with our emergency services – when they were in power they cut $66 million in funding to the CFA and MFB, leaving communities at risk.
