Doing What Matters for Community Radio in Richmond

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will ensure that 3CR can keep providing the programming our community loves.

3CR supports locals with a range of radio programs that build community connectedness, empower people, and help make Richmond a great place to live and thrive for everybody.

Since being established as Australia’s first community owned and run radio station in 1976, the organisation has built a dedicated following of supporters from its station in Fitzroy.

If re-elected, we’ll provide a $50,000 grant to 3CR so that they can continue to deliver their valuable programming, and so local volunteers can continue to enjoy this important organisation.

We’ll make sure they are well equipped to enrich culture and provide programs for members of the community, regardless of where they come from.

The Andrews Labor Government has always delivered on what matters for local communities, ensuring neighbourhoods have accessible wellbeing and community services close to home.

Labor is doing what matters – backing the important community organisations that help us all.

“As a long-term community radio volunteer, I'm proud to support 3CR with this funding so that people can continue to volunteer meaningfully, and people can listen to the programs they love."
