A Stronger 1st Bannockburn Scouts in Golden Plains

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will ensure 1st Bannockburn Scouts can continue to do great work locally and ensure our kids keep enjoying adventures outdoors.

A $400,000 grant will enable this important community organisation to continue to run engaging programs for young people in Bannockburn.

For years, 1st Bannockburn Scouts has supported thousands of young people running an adventurous and fun program while helping teach them life skills and leadership.

Access to scouting activities supports young people’s development and growth by creating opportunities for them to lead by example in their own communities.

Scouts Victoria is one of the state’s largest youth organisations and has a membership base of more than 20,000 members. The number of young people participating in scouting activities has grown by 30 per cent in the last 10 years.

This investment builds on the 23 local Scouts projects the Andrews Labor Government has delivered as part of a $5.5 million investment to build and upgrade scouting infrastructure across our state.

Labor is doing what matters – backing opportunity for young people in our community.
