A Better Bancoora Surf Life Saving Club For Lifesavers And Beachgoers

Surf Lifesavers, Nippers and the broader community will benefit from a better Bancoora Surf Life Saving Club, under a re-elected Andrews Labor Government.

We’ll invest $4.15 million to build a new clubhouse and patrol tower at Bancoora Beach, delivering new facilities that the whole community can be proud of.

Surf Life Saving Clubs are the lifeblood of our coastal communities, bringing families together through a shared love of the beach and ocean.

Local Surf Life Saving Clubs work hard to fundraise for better facilities for their members and for the beach going public and it’s important we support them as well.

That’s why Labor is backing Surf Life Saving Clubs and families to deliver better club rooms and emergency service facilities.

We have invested more than $1.6 billion to upgrade and improve local recreation reserves and sports grounds – making them better for local families.

We’ve delivered better courts and grounds, new scoreboards, lighting upgrades and changing facilities for clubs in every corner of the state.

Only Labor will deliver a new clubhouse and patrol tower at Bancoora Beach, looking after the needs and safety of local families.

Quotes attributable to Labor Member for South Barwon Darren Cheeseman

“We’re all keen to get back in the water as the weather warms up – that’s why Labor is delivering the Bancoora Surf Life Saving Club the facilities they need to keep us safe each summer.”

“Swimming and the beach are part of the fabric of the South Barwon community. Every week, thousands of locals make their way to Bancoora Beach and this announcement will mean they will be in better resourced and safer hands.”
